The earthquake took place at 06:09 local time (22:09 GMT), 70 kilometers deep, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), and authorities have reported no injuries or significant damage.
The earthquake was recorded on the island of Hahajima, one of the 30 that make up the Ogasawara archipelago, with an intensity of 5 higher on the Japanese seismic scale, 7 levels and focused on measuring the shaking on the surface.
