A 51-year-old male mountaineer who climbed Dawu Mountain in Northeast China alone slipped and fell into the valley and died with his body carried down the mountain

In Taiwu Township, Pingtung County, a mountain climbing accident was reported on the 2nd. A solo mountaineer suspected of slipping and fell into the valley. The police were reported to the mountaineering rescue, but there were no signs of life when they were rescued in the evening. The Ping County Fire Department applied for an air crew helicopter early this morning, and at 6:12, the body of a 51-year-old man surnamed Lin was brought down the mountain.

The Ping County Fire Department stated that Lin Nan (51 years old), who climbed Beidawu Mountain alone, suspected of slipping and falling when passing 8.6 kilometers of Beidawu Mountain yesterday (2nd), and fell into the valley. The police were arrested at 12:32. After reporting the case, a total of 7 vehicles and 12 people were dispatched from the Special Search Brigade, Laiyi Squad, Taiwu Squad, and the Second Brigade to rescue. The owner of Huigu Villa, surnamed Wu, reported to the police that the male mountain friend surnamed Lin had been rescued by him and his climbing friends down to the valley, but he had lost signs of life.

The fire rescue team arrived at Huigu Mountain Villa at 5:57 p.m. on the 2nd. The rescuers escorted Lin Nan’s body from Huigu Mountain Villa at 1:00 a.m. today. At 12:00, an air crew helicopter was applied for to go to the triangle point to hang successfully, and Lin Nan’s body was sent to the takeoff and landing field of Changzhi Special Search Station.​
