Finally, his legs were necrotic and had to undergo amputation. The biological mother has been arrested and the police are also involved in the investigation.
A message asking for help on the Luwang website, “A 5-year-old child was amputated due to abuse by his biological mother” attracted the attention of netizens. The content mentioned that the boy was soaked in cold water by his biological mother and showered his head with hot water. On January 1, bilateral calf amputation was performed.
The boy’s father revealed to “Red Star News” that he received a call from his wife in January this year, saying that the child was sick. He found that the child was in a different condition, and immediately took him to the hospital for examination and treatment. There was a slight cerebral hemorrhage and his legs were black. “The child said that his mother made him stand in cold water, and then he was frozen outside, saying that (the mother) treated him badly and refused to give him food.” Suspecting abuse, he called the police.
The local police intervened in the investigation and found that the boy’s biological mother had indeed been abused and had been detained and will face criminal prosecution. In addition, the father of the boy also said that he would give the child follow-up treatment and help. It is understood that the boy is currently recuperating at home and is expected to be hospitalized for treatment at the end of the month.
In this regard, the Jiangsu Nantong Municipal Government promised to actively participate in the child’s treatment and provide necessary financial assistance.
