A 3rd straight loss for Atlanta

Atlanta suffered its third straight NBA loss on Friday.

Clint Capela’s Hawks lost 120-116 to the Brooklyn Nets, who have won six of their last seven games.

Clint Capela has little to be ashamed of at the end of this match. The Geneva pivot finished this meeting with 15 points and 11 rebounds to sign his 15th double-double of the season, the seventh in his last seven appearances.

The combined absences of Dejounte Murray, John Collins and De’Andre Hunter (injured) were felt in the Hawks camp, even if Trae Young (33 points, 9 assists) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (31 points) delivered the goods. Atlanta now only has 50% wins (13-13) in this 2022/23 fiscal year.

Brooklyn, which was playing its seventh consecutive game at home, is for its part at 15 wins for 12 losses. The Nets were able to count on Kevin Durant (34 points) and Kyrie Irving (33 points, 11 rebounds) to force the decision once morest the Hawks.
