The police issued a call for witnesses on Thursday in the investigation into the death of a 20-year-old young man on Monday evening in Place Bethléem in Saint-Gilles. The victim was attacked with a knife. She died of her injuries. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office then descended on the scene, as well as the scientific police laboratory and a forensic doctor. The prosecution has appointed an investigating judge to investigate the charge of murder.
“On Monday, November 28, 2022 around 6:00 p.m., a fight broke out in Place Bethléem in Saint-Gilles. The victim, a 20-year-old young man, was stabbed and died of his injuries. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed this event or who was in Place Bethléem in Saint-Gilles at the time of the attack to come forward to the police,” said communicated the federal police in a call for witnesses Thursday, at the request of the investigating judge. “Discretion is assured”, she clarified.
