The Goyang Jiwon of the Uijeongbu District Court in Gyeonggi Province sentenced Ahn Mo, a 20-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend and leaving her body unattended for two days, to 30 years in prison.

The court said, “After killing a woman, the defendant did not feel even the slightest bit of guilt, such as living peacefully in the same space.”

“Even though a woman’s life was taken in extreme fear and pain, the accused is not seeking forgiveness or taking any action to compensate for the damage,” he explained.

Ahn is accused of assaulting and killing a 22-year-old woman who lived with him at an officetel in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on the night of March 4th.

A police investigation revealed that Ahn and his girlfriend were drinking and arguing over the issue of the opposite sex when the woman said, “Get out of the house as soon as the sun rises tomorrow.”

After the crime, Ahn left the body unattended and watched dramas and movies for two days, and it was found that he ordered delivery from a restaurant or bought alcohol and snacks from a nearby convenience store.

Ahn’s brutal behavior was revealed following the police forcefully ripped open the front door following receiving a report from her family that she might not be reached.

In the course of the investigation, it was also revealed that Ahn committed habitual assaults, such as wielding a knife and fists, at the woman who died in January and February.

Ahn was found to have been imprisoned for two and a half years for various crimes, including forcibly molesting a woman at a club in 2017 and committing a sex crime by dragging a 15-year-old girl he first saw on a city bus.
