A 15-inch MacBook Air M2/ M2 Pro for 2023?

Also well informed, Ross Young -CEO and analyst of DCS- has just launched a new rumor for the end of the year. A priori, Apple would develop a 15.5-inch MacBook Air which might be launched in the spring of 2023.

A great MacBook Air for spring!

In a tweet shared with his great followers, he specifies that the production of the panels designed for this MacBook Air would indeed begin in the first quarter of 2023. Obviously, this information does not fail to raise new questions, such as the placement of this machine within an already well-stocked range.

Thanks to its dimensions, the 15.5-inch MacBook Air – the largest ever designed – would fit between 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models (in terms of size of course, not performance). By comparison, the current model – the 13-inch MacBook Air – is actually 13.6 inches.

Apparently he should resume the same general design as the MacBook Air released in 2022 with flat edges, a large trackpad, a keyboard with the functions (and the three colors). He will probably benefit from MagSafe, an upgraded speaker system and a 1080p camera. It might be available with M2 and M2 Pro chips. On the other hand, to make the difference compared to the MacBook Pro, it should not have a mini-LED screen or ProMotion.
