Oslo Airport’s “Jacket Hotel” Makes Winter Travel Easier

Say goodbye to the burden of lugging heavy winter coats on your tropical getaways. Oslo Airport has introduced a novel “Jacket Hotel” service, offering a convenient and free solution for storing winter wear during the colder months.

A Stress-Free Solution for Winter Travelers

“The point of the hotel is that passengers should be able to deliver their winter jacket before traveling on vacation,” states Flytoget in a press release.

Located in the Flytoget area, just before the escalator to the departure level, the “Jacket Hotel” operates daily from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM untill March 31st. Passengers can simply drop off their jackets in designated containers, ensuring they are securely stored in a locked facility until their return.

Upon arrival back in Oslo, travelers receive a unique tag to retrieve their jacket. Each customer can store one jacket during this period.

Missed Your Flight? Don’t Worry!

Concerns about delayed flights causing missed opening hours? Flytoget ensures that jackets left outside the collection window will be held until the customer can pick them up. The airline even offers to transport the jacket to Oslo S station for added convenience.Any uncollected jackets by May 1st are treated as lost property.

Beyond Jackets: Storage Solutions at Oslo Airport

This initiative isn’t the only storage solution available at Oslo Airport. For those not traveling with Flytoget or seeking storage for items beyond just jackets, avinor, the airport operator, provides 200 electronic storage cabinets located in the P10 parking garage. These are available 24/7 for a fee of NOK 123.50 for up to one week (based on the smallest cabinet size).
