The Letterkenny community is deeply saddened by the passing of Francie Kelly Trusk from Ballybofey,Co. Donegal. He died peacefully at letterkenny University Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Francie was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warm personality and kindness touched the lives of many.
A Life Filled with Love
Francie is survived by his beloved wife,Máire,thier daughters Diane,Pamela (Philip),Charlene (Thomas),and their son Francis (Siobhan). His grandchildren, Ava-Rose, Ryan, Thomas, and Darragh, were the centre of his world. Francie also leaves behind his sisters Rose (Frank) and Ann, brothers-in-law Joseph and Padraig (Liz), nieces, nephews, neighbors, and a vast circle of friends who held him dear.
“He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by all who knew him,” shared a close friend, echoing the profound sense of loss felt throughout the community.
A Time for Reflection and Remembrance
Francie will repose at his home beginning Monday, February 3rd, from 6:00 PM onwards. Due to limited parking,a shuttle bus will operate from 6:00 PM on Monday and 3:00 PM on Tuesday from the car park at Sessiaghoneill chapel.
His Requiem mass will be held at St. Mary’s Sessiaghoneill on Wednesday, February 5th, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Rosary will be held both nights at 9:00 PM, with family time from 11:00 PM until late.
Francie’s passing is a reminder of the importance of cherishing loved ones and making the most of every moment. His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew him.

Mairead O’Connell: Francie was the kindest, most generous soul you could ever meet. He always had a smile on his face and a warm word for everyone. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. He was also a pillar of the Letterkenny community, always willing to lend a helping hand and make everyone feel welcome.

Mairead O’Connell: Francie was an amazing father and grandfather. His grandchildren, in particular, were the apples of his eye. He adored spending time with them, playing games, telling stories, and showering them with love.He was truly the heart of the family, and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone.
