Sir Grayson Perry: Oh, absolutely! Even tho, once I started singing, I felt like I was in my element. I’ve spent a good deal of time performing spoken-word pieces and giving talks, so singing on stage wasn’t entirely alien to me. But the physicality of it, combined with the mask, added a whole new layer to the performance.
What song choice especially stands out in your mind, and why?
Sir Grayson Perry: I loved performing “Bhemian Rhapsody” during one of the rounds. thers such drama and theatricality inherent in the song, and the costume certainly enhanced those elements! Plus, who wouldn’t want to belt out Queen for a national audience?

Sir Grayson perry: absolutely! The anonymity allowed me to tap into a playful side I don’t often get to explore. There was a delicious sense of mischief in performing with that secret,knowing everyone was trying to figure out who lay beneath the feathers.
