In an effort to combat the spread of dengue fever (DF), authorities in Mesuji Regency, Lampung, are taking proactive steps to protect residents.
On January 31, 2025, the Sungai Session Polsubseksekan and village officials conducted a fogging operation targeting various areas, including Village Hall, Northern Rawa 1 Public Elementary School, and homes suspected to be breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Representing the Mesuji Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Harris SH, S.IK, M.IK, CPHR, Iptu Sutrisno, the Kapolsubseksekan Rawa Northern Rawa, explained that the initiative aims to curb the spread of dengue, which is transmitted through the bite of infected Aedes mosquitoes.
“We will be continuously carrying out fogging operations in all villages to proactively address this concern,” Iptu Sutrisno stated, adding a plea to all citizens, “I appeal to all citizens to carry out 3 m (burying used goods, draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs) to avoid dengue mosquitoes.”
