McIlroy, beginning his PGA Tour season, managed to sink an 119-yard shot into the hole at the par-three 15th at Spyglass Hill Golf Course. This marked his third professional hole-in-one, further solidifying his reputation as one of the sport’s most skilled golfers.

It was truly incredible. To hole out on a hole like the seventh at Spyglass is a dream for any golfer, and to do it with my family watching? It’s a moment I’ll treasure forever. You know, they say it doesn’t really sink in straight away, but I’ve been smiling from ear to ear all day.
This is your third hole-in-one at a renowned course. You’ve previously aced Augusta and TPC Sawgrass. Is there anything special about you and these memorable holes?
It’s funny you should say that, as I do feel like I have some good luck around these iconic places. They’re courses that demand both precision and skill, and for the ball to find the bottom of the hole is a rare and gorgeous thing.
How were you feeling before that shot, knowing Rory had already aced earlier in the day? Did it ramp up the pressure?
Honestly, Rory’s ace just gave me that much more motivation to step up to the plate! Seeing him sink it gave a little jolt to everyone’s energy, the crowd included, and I told myself, I’d take my shot right now! Every hole feels incredibly special here in pebble Beach.

Pebble is a course that tests every aspect of your golf game.One minute you’re hitting thru thick rough and the next your navigating stunning fairways overlooking breathtaking views. Consistent driving, approach shots, and smart putts will surely be the winning formula this week.
I’m feeling confident heading into the weekend, but more importantly, the enjoyment of experiencing Pebble Beach always keeps me fired up! We’ll have to wait and see
