Aramouni’s journey as a writer is as rich and multifaceted as his literary works. Born in Iran in 1948, he embarked on an academic path, studying Armenian Studies at the University of Isfahan before repatriating to Armenia in 1969.He furthered his education at Yerevan State University, graduating in 1975. His literary endeavors have spanned continents, from founding the I-Ben printing and publishing house in the American publishing scene to representing the Armenian literary magazine Garoun in the United States.

“Posthumous Wedding,” Aramouni’s first full-length book, published in Armenia in 1992, marked the beginning of a distinguished career. His literary prowess has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious William saroyan Medal from the Armenian Ministry of diaspora in 2014 and a medal for his literary accomplishments from the Writers’ Union of Armenia in 2018. He has also been recognized by state and local institutions in California for his contributions to Armenian culture.
