Dr. Radostina Kalcheva,director of the Regional Health Inspection (RZI) in yambol,highlighted that the age groups most impacted are children under 4 and those between 5 and 14 years old. “The incidence of flu and acute respiratory diseases has exceeded the epidemic threshold,reaching 349 cases per 10,000 people,” stated Dr. Kalcheva. Over 20% of students are absent from schools, and a significant number of teachers have also fallen ill.
