Interviewer: Good evening, and welcome to Archyde News. Today,we are joined by Dr. Karan Singh, the father of Abhey Singh, also known as the “IIT Baba,” who has recently disappeared from the Maha Kumbh 2025. Dr.Singh, thank you for joining us during this arduous time.
Dr. Karan Singh: Thank you for having me. It’s a challenging moment for our family, but I appreciate the prospect to speak about my son.
Interviewer: Dr. Singh, could you share with us the moment you first learned about Abhey’s disappearance? What was your immediate reaction?
Dr. Karan Singh: I received a call from one of the sadhus at the Juna akhara early on Thursday morning. They informed me that Abhey had left the ashram abruptly, leaving behind his belongings. My initial reaction was one of shock and deep concern. We had been trying to reach him for months, but he had cut off interaction with us. Hearing that he had vanished without a trace was devastating.
Interviewer: Abhey’s journey from an aerospace engineer to a spiritual leader has been widely discussed. What led him to make such a dramatic shift in his life?
Dr. Karan Singh: abhey was always a seeker of truth. Even during his days at IIT Bombay,he was deeply interested in philosophy and spirituality. After completing his degree, he worked briefly in the aerospace industry, but he felt a void. he began to question the purpose of his life and eventually found solace in spirituality. His decision to join the Juna Akhara was a personal one, driven by his quest for inner peace and enlightenment.
Interviewer: Reports suggest that Abhey was struggling with mental stress and media pressure. How do you think this impacted him?
Dr. Karan Singh: Abhey was a private person, and the sudden fame that came with being the “IIT Baba” was overwhelming for him. The constant media scrutiny and the expectations of his followers weighed heavily on his mind. He was not accustomed to being in the public eye, and I believe the pressure became too much for him to handle. As a father, it pains me to see him struggle, and I wish I could have done more to support him.
Interviewer: There are rumors that internal friction within the Juna Akhara may have contributed to Abhey’s departure. What are your thoughts on this?
Dr. Karan Singh: The Juna Akhara is a revered institution with strict traditions. Abhey’s growing popularity and his unique background might have created some tension. However, I don’t want to speculate on the internal dynamics of the ashram. My primary concern right now is abhey’s well-being. We just want him to be safe and to know that we are here for him, no matter what.
Interviewer: Dr.Singh, what is your message to Abhey if he is watching this interview?
Dr. Karan Singh: Abhey,if you are out there, please know that we love you and care for you deeply. Whatever challenges you are facing, we are here to support you. You don’t have to face this alone. Come home, or at least reach out to us. Your family is waiting for you with open arms.
Interviewer: Dr. Karan Singh, thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions with us during this difficult time.We hope that Abhey is safe and that he finds his way back to his family soon.
Dr. Karan Singh: Thank you. I hope so too.
