Art the Clown thrives on chaos, and what’s more chaotic than turning a day of love into a blood-soaked nightmare? I wanted to explore how Art could disrupt a entirely different holiday, and Valentine’s Day felt like the perfect prospect to subvert expectations.
Archyde: Speaking of Art the Clown,David Howard Thornton returns to the role. What makes him the perfect fit for this iconic character?
Damien Leone: David is a genius.He brings an unparalleled level of physicality and nuance to Art. The character is silent, so every movement, every expression, has to convey terror—and David nails it every time. He’s also incredibly dedicated. He’s always brainstorming new ways to make Art even more unsettling. I couldn’t imagine anyone else in the role.

Damien Leone: Sienna is the heart of this story.She’s a survivor, but she’s also deeply scarred by her encounters with Art. in Terrifier 3, we see her trying to move on, but the trauma lingers. Art is such a bizarre, unpredictable character that his antics often bring a twisted sense of levity. It’s all about creating a rollercoaster of emotions—fear, shock, and even a little laughter.
