Punjabi Star Sharry Mann Lights Up Kelowna for a Worthy Cause

On January 12, the Kelowna Community Theater buzzed with energy as nearly 850 fans gathered to witness the electrifying performance of Punjabi music sensation Sharry Mann. The event not only showcased his chart-topping hits but also brought significant support to a local charity.
Sandhu Events Ltd., the organizers behind the concert, decided to channel all proceeds to the Starbright Children’s Advancement Center, a non-profit dedicated to offering behavioural therapy, inclusive childcare, adn other essential services to families in the Central Okanagan region. A generous cheque of $3,100 was presented to the organization following the show.
“We wanted to start the year on a positive note, so we decided to donate all our profits to the Starbright Children’s Development centre,” shared organizers Navsher, Davinder, and Saiyanwala Sandhu. The initiative was facilitated by Kelowna city councillor mohini Singh, whose efforts connected the Sandhus with Starbright.
Receiving the donation, Dr. Rhonda Nelson, executive director of Starbright, expressed heartfelt gratitude. “We are very grateful for the donation. The money will go to buy physiotherapy equipment for children,” she said, highlighting the tangible impact of the contribution.
Sharry Mann, a renowned figure in the Punjabi music industry, boasts an impressive following of nearly 4 million on instagram. As launching his career in 2011, he has achieved remarkable milestones, including his 2016 hit “3 Peg,” which garnered over 750 million views on YouTube. His talent was further recognized in 2019,when he clinched two Brit Asia TV Music Awards for Best Music Video and Best Music Producer.
This event not only celebrated music but also underscored the power of community and philanthropy, proving that entertainment can be a force for good.
