Kostadinov Advocates Macedonian and Southern Bessarabian Integration into Bulgaria

Kostadin kostadinov, the leader of Bulgaria’s political party “Vazrazhdane,” has recently made headlines for his endorsement of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s territorial claims involving Canada and the Panama Canal. In a detailed Facebook post,Kostadinov called on the Bulgarian government to adopt a similar approach regarding Macedonia and Southern Bessarabia, regions he believes share deep historical and cultural ties with Bulgaria.

“Trump’s claims to Canada are fully justified. There is nothing more logical and normal than two countries with a common history, common origin, common language, and largely common people, such as the USA and Canada, becoming one country,” Kostadinov wrote.

He also highlighted the historical context of the Panama Canal, noting that the United States originally owned the land where the canal was constructed. The U.S. not only built the canal but also maintained control over it until 1979. Kostadinov drew parallels between this situation and Bulgaria’s historical claims to Macedonia, emphasizing the shared heritage between the two nations.

“The situation is the same with Macedonia. there is nothing more logical for two countries with a common history, common origin, common language, and common people to become one country,” Kostadinov asserted.

In addition to Macedonia, Kostadinov addressed the historical significance of Southern Bessarabia, a region he claims has been part of Bulgaria for over 450 years. He argued that Bulgarians have been the indigenous population of this area sence the 6th century, making a case for its reunification with Bulgaria.

“That is why there is nothing more logical than the unification of Bulgaria and Macedonia in one common state, as well as the return of south Bessarabia back to Bulgaria. Ukraine is also falling apart at the future peace congress, at which the fate of the failed so-called Ukrainian statehood, Bulgaria must present its claims to Bulgarian Bessarabia,” Kostadinov stated.

How does “Revival” plan to address the brain drain and create a future that encourages Bulgarians to stay and thrive in their homeland?

Interview with Kostadin Kostadinov: Leader of Bulgaria’s Political Party “Revival”

By Archys, Archyde News Editor

Archyde: Good afternoon, Mr. Kostadinov. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. As the leader of Bulgaria’s political party “Revival,” you’ve been a prominent figure in the country’s political landscape. Can you start by telling us about the core values and mission of your party?

Kostadin Kostadinov: Thank you for having me. The core mission of “Revival” is to restore Bulgaria’s sovereignty, protect its national identity, and ensure the well-being of its citizens. We believe in a Bulgaria that is self-reliant, self-reliant, and proud of its history and traditions. Our values are rooted in patriotism, social justice, and the preservation of our cultural heritage. We aim to address the challenges facing our nation, from economic inequality to external pressures that threaten our autonomy.

Archyde: Your party has frequently enough been described as nationalist and Eurosceptic. How do you respond to critics who argue that your policies might isolate Bulgaria from the European Union and its allies?

Kostadin Kostadinov: First, I want to clarify that being a nationalist does not mean being isolationist. We are proud Bulgarians, and we believe in putting our country’s interests first. Though, this does not mean we are against cooperation or dialog with other nations. What we oppose is the erosion of our sovereignty and the imposition of policies that do not align with the needs of our people. The European Union has its benefits, but it also has its flaws. We advocate for a balanced approach—one where Bulgaria maintains its independence while engaging in mutually beneficial partnerships.

Archyde: One of the key issues in Bulgaria today is emigration, with many young people leaving the country in search of better opportunities abroad. how does “Revival” plan to address this brain drain and create a future that encourages Bulgarians to stay and thrive in their homeland?

Kostadin Kostadinov: The brain drain is a symptom of deeper systemic issues—economic stagnation, lack of opportunities, and a sense of hopelessness among our youth. Our plan is to revitalize Bulgaria’s economy by supporting local industries, investing in education and innovation, and creating an environment where young people can build their futures here. We also aim to combat corruption and ensure that public resources are used effectively to benefit all citizens. By fostering a sense of pride and belonging, we hope to inspire Bulgarians to contribute to the growth and growth of their own country.

Archyde: Your party has been vocal about its opposition to certain globalist agendas, particularly regarding immigration and cultural changes. Can you elaborate on your stance and how you believe these issues impact Bulgaria?

Kostadin Kostadinov: Our stance is clear: we believe in preserving Bulgaria’s cultural and demographic identity. Uncontrolled immigration and the imposition of foreign cultural norms can lead to social fragmentation and undermine the cohesion of our society. We are not against diversity or helping those in need, but we must prioritize the interests of our own citizens and ensure that any immigration policies are carefully managed. Bulgaria has a rich history and a unique identity, and it is our duty to protect and nurture that for future generations.

Archyde: Looking ahead, what are your party’s goals for the upcoming elections, and how do you plan to gain the trust of voters who may be skeptical of your platform?

Kostadin Kostadinov: Our primary goal is to present a clear and actionable plan for Bulgaria’s future—one that addresses the concerns of ordinary citizens and offers realistic solutions to the challenges we face. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and open dialogue with the people. Trust is earned through actions, not just words, and we are dedicated to proving that “Revival” is a party that truly represents the interests of Bulgarians. We will continue to engage with communities, listen to their needs, and work tirelessly to earn their support.

Archyde: Mr. Kostadinov, what message would you like to send to the people of Bulgaria as they consider their choices in the upcoming elections?

Kostadin kostadinov: My message is simple: bulgaria’s future is in your hands. This is a critical moment for our nation, and the decisions we make today will shape the lives of generations to come. “Revival” offers a vision of hope, strength, and unity—a Bulgaria that is proud, prosperous, and free. I urge every citizen to think carefully about the kind of future they want for themselves and their children. Together, we can build a Bulgaria that we can all be proud of.

Archyde: Thank you, Mr. Kostadinov, for sharing your insights with us today. We wish you and your party the best of luck in the upcoming elections.

Kostadin Kostadinov: Thank you. It was a pleasure speaking with you.
