Lucid Motors Sets Sights on European Expansion

Lucid Motors, the California-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is gearing up for a significant expansion into the European market. Sources reveal that the company is planning to adopt a dealership network model adn increase the number of its showrooms across Europe.
Adding to its current presence in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland, Lucid is set to enter the Belgian market in 2024. The automaker will make its debut at the Brussels Motor Show, scheduled from January 10th to 19th, 2025, where it is expected to formally announce its expansion plans.
Lucid’s european ambitions extend beyond Belgium. The company is poised to launch its high-performance Sapphire variant of the Air sedan in the first quarter of 2025. Following the Sapphire, lucid plans to introduce its Gravity SUV in early 2026, with orders opening in mid-2025. To broaden its appeal, Lucid also has a midsized model priced under $50,000 in the pipeline, slated for production in late 2026 and European arrival in 2027.
“Lucid is committed to providing a premium EV experience to European customers,” saidStefan Winterhoff, Lucid’s Chief Operating Officer, earlier this month.
“To ensure a seamless transition, we will be expanding our physical showroom network and implementing a tour with mobile pop-up stores in early 2025. Our aim is to make Lucid ownership accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
