**Valeria Grasso:** Thank you for having me.



**Interviewer:** You’ve dedicated your life to battling the Mafia, a truly commendable pursuit. However, recent events have cast a shadow over your reputation.You’ve been accused of illegally occupying a confiscated property in Palermo, converting it into a gym without proper authorization.Can you shed some light on this situation?



**Grasso:** thes allegations have deeply pained me.I understand the public scrutiny, given my history and the need for transparency. The truth is, the situation is far more complex than it appears. Yes, I have been residing in and operating a gym in the former mafia property. However, I firmly beleive my intentions have always been honorable.



The property was seized from the Mafia, but it was left vacant and deteriorating. I saw an opportunity to utilize it for the benefit of the community, providing a safe and healthy space. I recognize that proper procedures may not have been followed, but I acted out of a genuine desire to create something positive from a symbol of organized crime.

**Grasso:** This gym offers accessible fitness facilities and organized classes for residents of the neighborhood. We also provide mentorship programs for at-risk youth, helping them stay away from harmful influences.
