**SZA:** Hey, thanks for having me! “Lana” actually started as a separate project entirely, but as I was working on it, I realized there was so much thematic overlap with “SOS.” They both explore this journey of self-finding, of grappling with fame, love, heartbreak – the whole human experience, really.It felt natural to merge them, creating a fuller, more intricate picture.



**Interviewer:** You’ve been incredibly candid about the challenges of navigating fame and its impact on your mental health. How does “Lana” reflect this ongoing journey?



**SZA:** Music is my therapy, my way of processing everything I’m going through. “Lana” dives deeper into those struggles, those moments of doubt and insecurity. ItS about finding light in the darkness, even when things get tough.



**Interviewer:** The album features some exciting collaborations, including with Phoebe Bridgers and a reunion with Don Toliver. What was it like working with them?



**SZA:** It was incredible! Phoebe’s an amazing artist with such a unique voice. It was inspiring to collaborate with someone who understands the power of vulnerability in music. And Don is like family, so working with him always feels effortless and fun.

Does the pressure of following that up ever weigh on you?

Can you elaborate on that?

There are days when I feel incredibly burnt out, questioning whether I have anything left to give. But then I write a song



that feels truly special, and I remember why I do this. It’s a never-ending journey of self-discovery and balancing



my personal needs with the demands of a career like this.

**SZA:** I’m always evolving, always exploring new sounds and ideas. I don’t want to limit myself. I want to keep pushing boundaries,
