Austin Butler to Bring New Life to Patrick Bateman in ‘American Psycho’ Reboot
Lionsgate is bringing Bret Easton Ellis’ chilling novel American Psycho back to the big screen, and this time, Austin Butler is taking on the coveted role of Patrick Bateman. Variety broke the news, sharing that Elvis star Butler will lead the cast of this fresh take on the infamous tale.
This reimagining comes from director Luca Guadagnino, celebrated for his work on Call Me by Your Name, Suspiria. Butler steps into shoes previously filled by Christian Bale’s iconic performance in the nuclear 2000 adaptation.
