A recent report suggested Meta was planning to rely more heavily on manufacturing partner Goertek for headset designs. Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth has since refuted these claims. Meta maintains complete control over the design process will remain in-house.
While Goertek continues to be a vital partner for Meta, particularly for manufacturing, the company clarifies it’s not taking over design responsibilities.
