Coleen Rooney’s Jungle Fitness: Squats in the Shower and Surviving Without Luxuries

Coleen Rooney stands up to Danny Jones in ITV series

Coleen Rooney, the renowned media personality and fitness enthusiast, recently opened up about her unconventional workout regimen during her time on the hit ITV series “I’m a Celebrity.” Despite having no access to sophisticated gym equipment in the unforgiving wilderness, the 38-year-old cleverly adapted, incorporating bodyweight squats into her daily routine.

“At home every morning when I’m in the shower I do squats. I get up before the kids get up and I’ll do a routine of squats and I know if I’ve got them done I can carry on,” revealed Rooney in a candid interview with the Daily Mail. While some might consider jungle life a deterrent to maintaining fitness, Rooney found creative solutions to stay active.

In another revealing conversation with Bush Telegraph, Rooney admitted, “I wake up really early so I pretty much try and keep the routine that I do back home. I try and sneak off to do them on my own. I usually do squats in the shower!”

Her dedication to maintaining her fitness regimen even in the absence of her usual Reformer Pilates equipment highlighted her commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Rooney’s experience in “I’m a Celebrity” revealed a surprising side to the star, showcasing her resilience and resourcefulness in adapting to a challenging environment. “I feel my campmates were surprised that I wasn’t fazed by living outside,” she confessed.

Her ability to embrace discomfort and unexpected situations stemmed from her love of spending time outdoors, particularly playing with her four sons. “We go to ponds and mud trails. None of that fazed me and if I had all of my lot there, I could have stayed there for weeks and weeks,” she explained.

Despite leading a life filled with luxuries, Rooney proved she could thrive without them. “I have got luxuries in life but I’m no princess,” she stated boldly. Her unwavering spirit and ability to find joy in simple pleasures solidified her image as a grounded and relatable public figure.

Rooney’s television debut marked a significant step in her career. She ventured into broadcasting by assisting the renowned Sir Trevor McDonald on his esteemed show ” Tonight with Trevor McDonald.”
