22-year-old Rosa Birk de Linde was born and raised in Lystrup north of Aarhus, and this summer she moved to Aalborg.
An example of one of Rosa’s videos:
And it was during her years as a high school student that she began to rebel against the videos on TikTok, among other things, where girls recommend a very sparse diet without particularly many calories. Such as salads without proteins, light yoghurt and smoothies.
The underlying message is that you will come to look both lovely and – in particular – slim.

– If you only had to live on the meager food that is shown many times on social media, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate at school, for example. And I would probably have some mood swings too. It is unrealistic to live that way, says Rosa, who has almost always eaten what she wanted.
She eats a lot
From her family and friends, she has always been told that “she eats a lot”.
– I just have a good appetite, and I like to go, for example, three trips to the buffet when it says sushi. And maybe I also have a special metabolism, says Rosa, who decided to start a rather extensive project.
A project that she had no idea at the time would become a huge success.
As a counterbalance and as a provocation, over two years ago she started filming small videos of what she eats in a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, including all snacks. The entire day’s food intake gathered in one video.
The concept is that Rosa eats whatever she wants.
Love to cook
Each video has a duration of one minute and is posted on TikTok and Instagram the following day at approximately 9 p.m.

Rosa loves to cook. And the meals can consist of, among other things, chicken in curry and rice, it can be home-baked buns, apple slices, or it can be one of her favorites – eggs with mayonnaise with crushed chips on top.
Of the slightly more special recipes, we can mention peaches with the spice tajin (dried chillies and lime juice) on top. And at the moment, Rosa loves soy marinated eggs.
Lots of followers
As mentioned, the big food project began when Rosa was in high school, and after three months she had 8,000 followers on TikTok.
Today, that number has increased to nearly 45,000 followers on TikTok and 8,400 on Instagram.
Among other things, the good numbers mean that advertisements have appeared on her profile, which provides a small supplement to life as a student.
Another example of a Rosa video:
– But even if you are not a slimming guru, and even if you share quite ordinary high-calorie food, aren’t you just another Dane who enjoys being in the spotlight on social media?
– It has never been about me. It’s about the food I show. And it’s about me providing a counterweight to the food posts on social media, which give an unrealistic picture of what is normal and healthy to eat, says Rosa.
The future will also be about much more than recording videos. Rosa studies sociology at the university in Aalborg and dreams of a career as a criminologist.
Engine and drive
Rosa’s big engine and driving force behind the many videos is – in addition to having fun – all the positive feedback she receives – especially from girls and women who, for various reasons, struggle with food and eat too little.
Rosa was recently invited into the studio of Go´ Morgen Danmark on TV2 to talk about her project.

However, she did not know that the TV channel had also invited Laila Walther, who is the director of the Eating Disorders and Self-Injury association, into the studio.
Laila Walther was very clear in her praise when she said that role models like Rosa are needed, who show what ordinary food looks like.
Rosa says that of course she also gets negative reactions to her videos, but that there are mostly positive ones.
Big impression
And that of course it makes a big impression when, for example, she receives an inquiry from a girl who is hospitalized for eating disorders. And who find inspiration in watching Rosa eat her way through the day.
At the same time, Rosa is fully aware that her success is probably also due to the fact that she eats what she wants at the same time that she looks quite ordinary – neither overweight nor unusually slim.
And Rosa has no intention of being stopped by trends or food rules in the future either.
In fact, her philosophy is as simple as it is honest:
– I probably won’t stop making videos, since I never stop eating, says Rosa Birk de Linde. With a smile.
