The early 2000s fashion wave continues to influence streetwear, and Nike is leaning into the trend with a fresh take on the Vomero 5. Sneakerheads who embraced the style’s resurgence will want to check out the upcoming “Jade Horizon” colorway.
A Familiar Hue, Reimagined
This isn’t Nike’s first foray into “Jade Horizon” for the Vomero 5. A similar color scheme made its debut in the Summer of 2024. This new iteration, however, presents a striking contrast by swapping out suede overlays for a crisp white mesh base and leather detailing. “Jade Horizon” takes center stage, gracing the Swoosh, the top portion of the midsole, and reflective overlays. This vibrant shade is balanced by a slightly darker hue on the cage and lower midsole, creating a visually dynamic composition.
A closer look reveals a subtle yet sophisticated earthy touch with “Ironstone” brown accents outlining the Swoosh and extending to the outsole. This touch of brown provides an elegant grounded feel, complementing the energetic green.
Release Details
The Nike Vomero 5 “Jade Horizon” is scheduled to launch in Spring 2025. It will be available in men’s sizing and carry a retail price of $160.
What are the notable changes made to the Nike Vomero 5 “Jade Horizon” colorway in this new iteration?
**Host:** Joining us now is sneaker enthusiast and designer, Alex Grey, to talk about the recently announced Nike Vomero 5 “Jade Horizon.” Alex, thanks for being here.
**Alex:** Thanks for having me.
**Host:** So, Nike is bringing back the “Jade Horizon” colorway for the Vomero 5, but with some notable changes. What are your initial thoughts on this new iteration?
**Alex:** I think they’ve done a great job refreshing the look. The white mesh base and leather detailing really make the “Jade Horizon” pop. It’s a cleaner, more modern take compared to the suede version we saw earlier this year.
**Host:** Do you think sneakerheads will embrace this new design, or will they long for the original suede version?
**Alex:** I think there’s room for both. Some people love the classic suede look, but others might be drawn to the updated aesthetic.
**Host:** And what about the price point? $160 for a Vomero 5. Is that a fair price, especially with the current economic climate?
**Alex:** It’s definitely on the higher end for a Vomero. Are people willing to shell out that much, especially now? That’s a question for the consumers.
