Colapinto‘s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Cut Short After Collision
Franco Colapinto’s final race of the Formula 1 season ended prematurely after a collision with Oscar Piastri during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
McLaren started last after a miscalculation during battle with Max Verstappen. This put them just behind Colapinto who started in 20th position.
Piastri hit Colapinto from behind early in the race. The Argentine driver had to pit due to the resulting puncture, effectively ending his race. He managed to continue until lap 28, but ultimately couldn’t finish the race.

“This is not the end of the season I wanted. I wanted to finish the race and Piastri came and hit me and I don’t know what happened to the kid. I think more people crashed later,” Colapinto reflected.
“Unfortunately, one of those race-ending crashes. After the puncture and tire change, we had a good pace despite all the damage to the diffuser. I wanted to finish the race but unfortunately, it didn’t happen,” he concluded.
Colapinto Expresses Gratitude for Williams
Before the race started, Colapinto shared emotional messages of gratitude to the Williams team.
“Thank you, thank you for they made my dream come true.I told them on the radio.
