**Alex Reed:** There are a few things. Always be cautious of loan apps promising unrealistic terms or asking for upfront fees. Download apps only from trusted sources like the official Google Play Store. Carefully review permissions requested by an app. If it’s asking for access to your contacts, photos, or messages, that’s a red flag. And most importantly, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
