Rising Star: Gennaro Filippone Celebrates Dual Releases

At just 15 years old, Neapolitan actor Gennaro Filippone is riding high on a wave of success. With the release of two major projects in December – the filmCreatures” by Cécile Allegra, hitting cinemas on December 5th, and the Disney+ series "Uonderbois" premiering on December 6th – Filippone is making a name for himself in the entertainment world.

"These are very important days for me. I’m embracing the wave of the moment," he says.

Speaking with him, it’s apparent that Filippone approaches his craft with a maturity beyond his years. “When I work on a project, I focus 101% on that project. Not on social life,” he explains. “School is very important. I try not to neglect it and keep up, but I have little social life when I’m on set.”

For now, though, it’s time for celebration. “Between the two releases, these are very important days in my career,” Filippone reflects.

For "Creatures," Filippone will be joining the audience, enjoying the film alongside friends and family. "Uonderbois" is a different experience altogether; Gnaro organized a big party at home, inviting everyone over to celebrate and watch the series premiere together.

“Uonderbois,” a series centered around a boy who discovers a family secret, marked Félippe’s first venture into television.
