The governor of Antioquia, Andrés Julián Rendón Cardona, wrote in his X account: «There are two people injured, They are two civilians who were traveling on the Medellín-Cartagena route and who were on board one of the public transport buses. The victims are stable in medical centers in Caucasia. The Army reacted and deterred the attack. This is very serious! We went back 20 years. We are living a horror movie that we thought we had overcome. Thousands of cargo and passenger vehicles travel on this road every day.

The attack was withfirearms and occurred in the jurisdiction of Caucasia. The representative to the Chamber for Antioquia, Juan Espinal, also spoke out after what happened. In this regard, he said: «The Total Peace of President Gustavo Petro has only strengthened the bandits. and to criminal structures, weakening security for citizens and giving us back about 20 years. A few hours ago, ELN bandits attacked vehicles traveling towards the Caribbean Coast.
