Nun Arrested for Alleged Ties to Italian Mafia
A shocking twist has emerged in northern Italy as a 57-year-old nun, Sister Anna Donelli, was arrested as part of a major crackdown against the notorious ‘Ndrangheta mafia.
Authorities allege that Sister Donelli acted as a crucial link between the mafioso gang and its associates imprisoned within a penitentiary where she provided spiritual guidance. “She exploited the very spiritual role she fulfilled,” reports Italian prosecutor Francesco Prete.
