## DePaul Falls to Texas Tech in First Loss of Season
**Host:** Joining us today to break down DePaul’s tough loss to Texas Tech is sports columnist, Sarah Jones. Sarah, welcome to the show.
**Sarah Jones:** Thanks for having me. It was definitely a disappointing result for DePaul fans last night.
**Host:** It sounds like Texas Tech was simply too strong. Can you tell us a bit about how the game unfolded?
**Sarah Jones:** Absolutely. Texas Tech came out strong, with Chance McMillian and Darrion Williams leading the charge. McMillian had a stellar game, scoring 22 points, while Williams added 20. Their combined effort was really too much for DePaul to overcome. [[1](https://www.chicagotribune.com/2024/12/04/depaul-texas-tech-mens-basketball/)]
**Host:** So it looks like DePaul’s undefeated streak is over. What do you think this loss means for the rest of their season?
**Sarah Jones:** It’s a setback, no doubt, but it’s still early in the season. DePaul showed a lot of promise in their previous games, and I don’t think this one loss will derail their progress. They need to learn from the mistakes they made against Texas Tech and come back stronger.
**Host:** Well said. Thanks for your insights, Sarah.
**Sarah Jones:** My pleasure.
