Thinking about the mobility needs of the inhabitants of the Aburrá Valley, the Medellín Metro will modify its business hours during some days in December.
The above is so that people can move around easily, save time and money, and in the process contribute to the environment.
Service extended for Feid concert
The first modification will be on Friday the 6th, Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December, dates on which the Antioquian artist Ferxxo will perform at the Atanasio Girardot stadium. To meet the influx of users, the provision of commercial service on lines A and B will be extended on three days until 1:30 in the morning.
On Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7, starting at 11:50 p.m., people will only be allowed to enter through the Floresta and Estadio stations, guaranteeing transfer to line A. While on Sunday, December 8, access will be to starting at 10:15 at night through the same stations mentioned above.
It is important to keep in mind that after 11:00 at night the following stations will be enabled for the departure of users: Niquía, Bello, Madera, Acevedo, Tercentenario, Caribe, University, Hospital, San Antonio, Exhibitions, Industrials, Poblado , Envigado, Sabaneta, La Estrella, Suramericana, Santa Lucía and San Javier. The other stations, that is, Prado, Parque Berrío, Alpujarra, Aguacatala and Cisneros will close at their usual hours. On Sunday, December 8, the same stations will be enabled for departure starting at 10:00 p.m.
Hours extended on weekends in December
On Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th, Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st of December, commercial service will be provided until 12:00 at night and will apply to train lines A and B, to the Ayacucho Tram and aerial cable lines H ( Villa Sierra), J (San Javier), K (Santo Domingo), M (Miraflores) and P (El Progreso).
It is important to keep in mind that bus lines 1, 2, O and the feeder system of Cuencas 3 and 6 will not have extended hours.
On Tuesday, December 24 and 31
These two days, the commercial service will end at 10:00 at night and transfers are guaranteed with lines A, B, T, 1, 2, O, H, J, K, M and P. While the Wednesday, December 25 and January 1, 2025 The operation will begin at 5:00 in the morning, that is, at the established Metro network schedule for Sundays and holidays.
