The Loupe Football Club (FCL), a thriving community hub for sports enthusiasts and aspiring athletes, is welcoming a fresh wave of leadership.

Recent weeks have seen three passionate volunteers join the club’s management team, bringing with them a wealth of experience and a shared dedication to fostering a positive and supportive sporting environment. On Saturday, the club’s president, Jean-Manuel Abrantes, hosted a special reception at the clubhouse to officially welcome the new recruits.

“This is an exciting time for the FCL,” Abrantes announced, his voice filled with enthusiasm. “The values of sport, the importance of volunteering for the functioning of the club, the human qualities and the dedication of the women and men who support the club – these are cornerstones of our success. Sport is a way to be in physical shape; it’s mental well-being and social interactions.”

Leading the new additions is Michael Emilie, who will take the reins as coach of the senior team. Sharing Emilie’s commitment to nurturing athletic talent are Piedro Magalhaes and Marc Girardot, who will guide the young players of U13 team 2 as their coach and guide.

Abrantes took the opportunity to emphasize the vital role that volunteering plays in the club’s ongoing success. “The dedication of our volunteers is truly inspiring,” he said. He urged everyone involved with the teams, from supporters to coaches, to remember the meaning and importance of respect for oneself and others, solidarity, and tolerance. “These principles are essential not only for the best evolution of the teams in the championship but also for the development of football as a whole,” he emphasized.

The president also stressed the importance of upholding and promoting the fundamental values of sport: excellence, respect, and friendship. “Our goal,” Abrantes stated, “is to create a sports education action based on the sense of effort, physical condition, technical learning, and the sense of unity of each team. This is how we ensure that everyone finds pleasure in the practice of football and in the life of the club.”

With its energized leadership and its commitment to a holistic approach to sports development, the Loupe Football Club appears poised for a bright future.
