Former World Champion Shaun Murphy has poked fun at his own darting skills (or lack thereof) after embarking on a hilarious sporting challenge that saw him swap snooker cues for arrows.
Murphy recently took part in the Paddy Power Perfect Challenge, a multi-disciplinary charity event that saw some of snooker’s finest face off against darts and golf pros. The challenge involved trying to achieve each individual discipline’s ultimate feat: a 147 snooker break, a nine-darter in darts, and a hole-in-one on the golf course.
While the former EU side champion Mark Williams stayed on the felt, Murphy described his three wildest dart attempts because, “I thought it was an obvious joke”,
But even though his darts weren’t quite up to scratch, Murphy cleverly steered clear of any serious allegations.
