“Slice of Paradise” follows the hilarious adventures of Guido, a student navigating his first foray into the professional world as the unlikely manager of a pizzeria branch. This unexpected twist of fate thrusts Guido into a chaotic whirlwind of colorful colleagues, quirky customers, and constant challenges as the branch faces existential threats. Through awkward misunderstandings, unexpected situations, and humorous conflicts that border on the unbelievable, Guido and his team strive to keep the pizzeria afloat, delivering laughs and heartwarming moments along the way.
“One great challenge and adventure has been completed,” shares Kaspars Marhlevičs, the series’ writer and lead actor, who embodies Guido. “A challenge – because it was the first time for me and several other colleagues to film in a TV series, similar to the character I played, Guido, who works in a pizzeria for the first time. Adventure – because the team was so gorgeous that there was never a moment of boredom. I am glad that I had the opportunity to work side by side with experienced actors, from whom I can both learn and be inspired.”
Developed by “Lokomotive” studio, “Woodpecker Pictures” team, and in collaboration with “Spektrs” film project, “Slice of Paradise” is a six-episode comedic treat. The series is produced by Dominiks Jarmakovičs and Sergejs Timonins, with Kārlis Lesiņas at the helm as director. Kaspars Marhlevičs penned the script, guiding Lauri Gundar and Marta Elīna Martinson in their creative contributions.
