The cultural aspect of the Senegalese stay of the president of the transition and his wife Zita Oligui Nguéma, was furnished by the visit on Tuesday to the exhibition of the Biennale of Arts at the Grand Théâtre national Doudou Ndiaye Coumba Rose in Dakar. The presidential couple was notably able to discover, with great happiness and pride, a collection of photographic works by their compatriot Désirey Ahmed Minkoh.
Highlighting the practice of Bwiti which is a Gabonese initiation rite, the works of the Gabonese photographer, specialist in superior portraiture, which were presented to be seen and appreciated by the presidential couple and visitors, promote the cultural and spiritual wealth of Gabon .
Désirey Minkoh holds several distinctions, obtained in different countries, including the finalist prize in the plastic arts competition in Luxembourg in 2023. He is one of the best of his generation and in his category. This gave him access to training in prestigious international academies, after which he held positions in large agencies and administrations.
Placed under the theme ”awakening”the 15th edition of the Dakar Arts Biennale saw the participation of 58 artists from Africa and the diaspora, exhibiting a wide variety of works relating to the arts of illustration, sound arts, sculpture, photography , etc.
Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma’s visit to this exhibition at the Dakar Arts Biennale demonstrates his commitment to the restoration of cultural values through a return to basics.
On the sidelines of this activity, the president of the transition offered a dinner in honor of the Gabonese Prosper Zo’o Minto’o, recently elected as Director General of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), at the end of 74th extraordinary meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the said organization, held on September 27 in Dakar.
Prosper Zo’o Minto’o thus succeeds, fifty (50) years later, dignitary Paul Malékou for a renewable period of four (4) years.
