Hollywood Gears Up for 92nd Annual Christmas Parade
Hollywood is ready to usher in the holiday season with the 92nd annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, a cherished tradition that will light up the streets of Tinseltown on Sunday.
The 3.2-mile procession promises a festive spectacle, featuring a dazzling array of celebrities, a dozen marching bands, 13 larger-than-life character balloons, dozens of characters and equestrian groups, and five vibrant floats. Music will fill the air, creating a joyous atmosphere for the thousands who gather to witness this annual celebration.
Kicking off at 6 p.m. on Sunday, the parade will commence at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard. The route will take the festivities east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and then west on Sunset, finishing back at Orange.
Renner Takes the Reins as Grand Marshal
“I’m honored to serve as the grand marshal for this year’s Hollywood Christmas Parade and excited to partner with Toys for Tots to bring joy to children in need,” Renner said. “Their mission aligns closely with the work we do at the RennerVation Foundation, creating meaningful experiences for at-risk youth. This season of giving is about spreading hope, and I’m thrilled to share this moment with my family and friends from the foundation as we work together to make a difference.”
Renner, perhaps best known to audiences for his role as Hawkeye in the “Avengers” film series, will lead the procession as grand marshal. The Oscar-nominated actor is dedicated to using his platform for good, magnifying his work through the RennerVation Foundation. As the parade’s Humanitarian of the Year, he continues to champion the deney’s Foundation continuation
Previous grand marshals include iconic figures such as Gene Autry, Charlton Heston, Bob Hope, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Pickford, James Stewart, Walter Matthau, John Wayne, Olivia Newton-John, Susan Lucci, and Dwayne Johnson.
Actor Dean Cain will host the parade alongside media personalities Laura McKenzie, Montel Williams, and Elizabeth Stanton.
Pre-Parade Festivities Kick Off the Celebration
The excitement begins before the parade even starts, as pre-parade entertainment takes center stage Cast members from the touring production of “Wicked,” which opens at the Pantages Theatre Wednesday, will give a delightful performance. The lineup also includes captivating performances from Italian singer Anna Azerli, the mesmerizing magician My Uyen, and the powerful vocals of singer Clay Aiken.

A Legacy Continues: Part of a Nearly Century-Old Tradition
The Hollywood Christmas Parade will be recorded and broadcast on The CW Network on December 15. This year’s event marks the 92nd iteration of this cherished tradition, which began in 1928. Sadly, the parade was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but has navigated World War II. This enduring tradition offers a sense of continuity and community that has delighted generations. Originally known as the “Santa Claus Lane Parade”, the first grand marshal was comedian Joe E. Brown in 1932.
