Calling all shutterbugs! The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is inviting photography enthusiasts to showcase their talent and celebrate the state’s diverse wildlife. The agency is now accepting entries for its annual calendar photo contest, offering a unique opportunity to have your work featured in a publication enjoyed by thousands.

Showcase Tennessee’s Natural Wonders

The contest welcomes up to 10 of your best photos capturing the beauty and wonder of Tennessee’s wildlife. Whether it’s a majestic bald eagle soaring through the sky, a playful otter frolicking in a stream, or a stoic black bear roaming the forests, your image could be selected to grace the pages of the 2025-26 calendar.

Hunting, fishing, and boating pictures are also encouraged, highlighting the state’s rich outdoor recreational opportunities.

More Than Just a Calendar – Your Work in the Spotlight

The winning photos will not only adorn the 2025-26 calendar, formatted August through July to accommodate crucial hunting season dates, but also gain wider recognition. All submitted photographs will be retained by the TWRA and considered for use in various agency publications, license cards, the website, and other media.

Adding another element of excitement, each winning photographer will receive a $60 cash prize for their contribution. ”

Interested photographers have until March 17, 2025, to submit their entries. Photos must adhere to specific technical requirements:

  • Horizontal (landscape) orientation
  • JPEG format
  • Sized to print no smaller than 8 ½ x 11 inches
