Right, folks, gather round, because the news just dropped that’s more thrilling than a Tesco meal deal on a Tuesday: Bridget bloody Jones is making a bloody comeback!
(Looks intensely at camera, eyebrows raised)
Twenty-three years. Twenty-three bloody years since our girl Bridget graced the big screen, stumbling from one catastrophic romantic escapade to the next. And rumor has it, there’s less Chardonnay this time. Or maybe not. Who are we kidding?
So, apparently, Renée Zellweger‘s dusted off the granny pants and the big knickers, and she’s back. They’ve even roped in Hugh Grant again, bless him, probably for one last “charming rogue” act before he fully embraces being the distinguished elder statesman of British cinema.
(Leans in conspiratorially)
They say Colin Firth’s not back though. Tragic, isn’t it? Mark Darcy snuffed it, poor bloke. Probably choked on a piece of organic quinoa or something. Shrugs dramatically
But fear not, because Bridget’s got a new bloke on the scene, played by that bloke from… (Whispers) The White Lotus. Yeah, the one with the, ahem, exquisitely defined physique. (Eyes widen suggestively)
Apparently, there might be some tears involved, but knowing Bridget, those’ll be drowned in a gallon of white wine by the time the credits roll.
(Starts mimicking Bridget’s exasperated sigh)
Oh, Bridget. You’re a trainwreck, but we love ya!
(Straightens up, points at camera)
Right then, off I go to find a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and invent a reason to wear my leopard print onesie. See you at the cinema, you lovely lot.
(Winks cheekily and exits stage left)
When the Bazaar team heard at the beginning of this year that there was a fourth Bridget Jonesfilm was in the making, we couldn’t believe our luck. After 23 years, Renée Zellweger returns to the role of Jones, and that can only mean laughing, screeching and roaring. Although after watching the new trailer we also know that there will be tears. The trailer of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is finally here. We’ll tell you all about it.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy
The recordings of Bridget Jones 4 started in May. In addition to Zellweger, Hugh Grant returns as Daniel Cleaver, as do Sarah Solemani as Miranda and Jim Broadbent as Bridget’s father – just to name a few. We also welcome a number of new faces, such as none other than Leo Woodall (!), known from the hit series The White Lotus in One Day.
Bridget Jones 4 trailer
In the trailer of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy we see how Bridget is now a single mother in her fifties. Her great love, Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, has passed away, but his memories remain vivid. This is how we hear his voice during the trailer. Four years after his death, Bridget opens up to love again. But whether with the school teacher Mr. Wallaker, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, or with the 29-year-old Roxster, played by Leo Woodall, is still unclear. We also see familiar faces, such as friends Shazzer, Jude and Tom, and Bridget’s doctor Dr. Rawlings, played by Emma Thompson. The romcom can be seen in Dutch cinemas from February 14. Until then, we can daydream about the images below.

What is the cultural impact of the original *Bridget Jones’s Diary* film mentioned in the interview?
## Bridget Jones: Back for More Chardonnay and Chaos!
**Host:** Buckle up, everyone, because Bridget Jones is back! After 23 years, our favorite singleton is returning to the big screen, leaving a trail of Chardonnay bottles and romantic disasters in her wake.
Joining us now is Emily Carter, film critic extraordinaire, to dissect this exciting news. Emily, welcome!
**Emily:** Thanks for having me! I’m as excited as everyone else about Bridget’s comeback.
**Host:** So, we’ve heard Renée Zellweger’s slipped back into those iconic granny pants – true?
**Emily:** Absolutely! Renée’s back reprising her beloved role, and there’s a new man in Bridget’s life, played by none other than [whispers] that ridiculously good-looking fella from *The White Lotus*.
**Host:** Oh, you mean *[insert actor’s name]*! Intriguing! So, no Colin Firth this time?
**Emily:** Sadly not. Mark Darcy seems to have met his untimely end, but knowing Bridget, she’ll bounce back with her usual mix of self-deprecation and hilarious misadventures.
**Host:** Rumor has it there might be tears involved this time around?
**Emily:** The trailer certainly suggests some emotional moments, but come on, it’s Bridget! Those tears are bound to be washed down with copious amounts of vino by the curtain call.
**Host:** Well, I’ll be raising a glass to that! Any thoughts on how this fourth installment will live up to the previous films?
**Emily:** [[1]]The original *Bridget Jones’s Diary* was a cultural phenomenon. Can this new film capture that same magic? It’s a big ask, but based on what we’ve seen so far, there’s plenty of potential for classic Bridget Jones chaos and comedy.
**Host:** Sounds promising! Thanks for your insights, Emily. Get those leopard print onesies ready folks – it’s going to be a blast from the past!
