Nebraska Volleyball seeks to clinch its second consecutive Big Ten regular-season title when they travel to State College, Pennsylvania, for a showdown against the Penn State Nittany Lions on November 29th. The Huskers currently hold the top spot in the Big Ten standings with an undefeated conference record, boasting a dominant 18-0 mark. Penn State sits close behind, owning a strong 17-1 conference record.
A victory at Rec Hall would secure Nebraska its 36th all-time conference championship and its fifth since joining the Big Ten in 2011.
“We’re excited for the challenge,” said head coach John Cook, who is pursuing his 14th conference title in his 25 years leading the Huskers.
However, the Huskers will face a formidable opponent in Penn State, who have established a remarkable home-court advantage at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions are riding a 19-match winning streak at home, a streak that dates back to Nebraska’s impressive reverse sweep victory over Penn State last season.
Following the Penn State match, Nebraska will conclude its regular season on November 30th against the Maryland Terrapins in College Park, Maryland.
