Remembering Mark Brewer: A Life Woven with Love, Hard Work, and Laughter
Mark Kenna Brewer, 67, a beloved family man known for his loving heart and generous spirit, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. Born on March 17, 1957, in Beckley, West Virginia, Mark’s journey through life was one of kindness, joy, and simple pleasures.
Mark’s devotion to family was unwavering. He was the cherished husband of 42 years to Lisa Brewer, with whom he shared a life filled with laughter and love. Together, they built a home brimming with warmth, raising two wonderful children, Aaron Brewer (Lauren) and Lindsey Brooks (Jared).
Mark’s legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren: Wyatt, Reese, Emily, Makenna, and Amelia. Their “Poppy” will forever be remembered for his playful nature and the warmth of his embrace. Every moment spent with them was a treasure.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Betty Brewer, and his brother Cleve “Buddy” Brewer.
He leaves behind a close-knit family, including his siblings Laura Lego, Rebecca “Becky” Kirchner, John Brewer, Carolyn Dunn, and Susan “Susie” Hughes.
His nieces and nephews, numbering in the dozens, will fondly recall his stories and the kind wisdom he imparted, a testament to Mark’s enduring influence on generations.
A Life of Service and Dedication
Mark’s work ethic exemplified his deep commitment and compassion.
For many years, he dedicated himself as a service technician at AT&T, going above and beyond his duties. Mark not only excelled at his job, but he also formed lasting friendships and connections through involvement with various associations, reflecting his genuine desire to help others.
Beyond his professional life, Mark’s hands told the story of a life well-lived.
Often soiled from the earth of his garden or stained with grease from tinkering with old cars, they revealed his love for working with his hands and his ability to find joy in both the beauty of nature and the mechanics of machines.
Yet, it was his time spent with children and grandchildren that truly brought him the most joy. Whether he was teaching them how to plant a seedling, patiently explaining the mechanics of a car engine, or sharing tales of his youth,
Mark’s presence was a source of comfort and joy. He had a rare gift for finding the extraordinary in the everyday and sharing that wonder with those he loved.

Services will be held at Rose Hill Church of Christ, 7479 Old Moon Rd, Columbus, GA 31909 on Friday, December 6, 2024.
The family will receive visitors from 12-1pm, with the service to follow at 2pm.

**Lisa:** Oh, there are so many! Mark was always up for an adventure, especially with the grandkids. One time, we were all at the park, and he decided to build them a fort out of branches and leaves. It was a beautiful mess, but the kids were absolutely enthralled. That’s just who he was – always making memories, ready to share a laugh.
