Twitter Account Locked Twice: Automated Behavior Error

Hitting a Wall: Locked Out of Twitter, Twice

Two days ago, I decided to finally join Twitter. Shortly after setting up my profile and making my first tweet (something Twitter suggested I write as a starting point), my account was blocked.

The reason given? “Your account appears to be engaging in automated behavior that violates the Twitter rules. Um To unlock your account, please follow the steps below to confirm that you are the legal account owner.”

At first, I thought maybe my chosen profile picture was the culprit, potentially due to copyright issues. But I dismissed that idea as a possibility. I followed the prompts to unlock the account, providing my phone number and entering a verification code. The code arrived, but when I tried to use it, it was wrong. Repeated attempts resulted in the same issue. At that point, I figured the original account was lost.

I decided to create a brand new Twitter account. To my shock, the same thing happened. As soon as I tried to enter a username, the platform blocked the new account for the same “automated behavior” reason. I hadn’t even added a profile picture or posted anything! I was certain it wasn’t related to the previous account’s photo.

I was using Google Chrome without any plug-ins and wasn’t running any kind of Twitter bot or automation software. I even checked on my phone via the app, but the same message popped up. It’s incredibly frustrating, to say the least.

Has This Happened to Anyone Else?

Does anyone have any advice or have they experienced anything similar? I’m at my wit’s end.

Has anyone else run into this baffling situation? Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.
