Astrid Holleeder (58) is at number 1 in the Bestseller 60 with her book ‘Who talks, who goes’. Her daughter Miljuschka Witzenhausen (39) is at number two with her book ‘I saw that you were looking at my cheesecake’ , reports the CPNB Foundation. The book association calls it ‘a unique achievement’.

In her second book, Willem Holleeder’s sister writes about her heavily secured life since her testimony against him, and the fear she and her family experience every day. It was previously announced that Miljuschka ‘lives with heavy security because she is seriously threatened’. The Astrid said this in an interview with RTL Boulevard.

In Miljuschka’s new cookbook I saw you looking at my cheesecake things are a lot lighter. In the book, the TV chef shares eighty recipes for sweet and savory cheesecakes.

The list also includes two music books from Dutch origin, namely: Scandalously beautiful opera by an opera singer Francis van Broekhuijsen (30) and the book André van Duin – La Bohème by author Robert Haagsma (43). Former Book Week gift author Lize Spit enters the list at number 55 Autobiography of my body.

Astrid recently told us From BLVD podcast that she will soon focus on reviewing books. In addition, Astrid will also make herself heard more often via social media. “That means I can hear others too,” says Astrid. “I want to break the silence.” And: “I want to end the story for once. I want to show the nice things.” The book reviews also provide Astrid with ‘distraction and contact’, something the threatened witness desperately needs.

Right, listen up you lot, because this is a right corker! Apparently, Astrid Holleeder, the woman who’s basically Voldemort’s distant cousin, and her daughter Miljuschka, who thankfully inherited her mum’s brains, not her taste in men, are BOTH topping the bestseller lists. You couldn’t make it up, could you?

Astrid, bless her, is going on about how scared she is – I mean, who wouldn’t be if your brother was a criminal mastermind trying to silence you? Turns out, even the Dutch mafia has a soft spot for a good cheesecake, though, because Miljuschka’s new cookbook, I Saw You Looking At My Cheesecake, is flying off the shelves faster than a stolen Rembrandt.

Look, I know what you’re thinking: "Is this some kind of twisted Olive Garden family recipe book, with extra oregano and a side of fear?" But no, Miljuschka’s clearly got more talent than her mum let on. They say she’s a TV chef, but let’s be honest, in this household, it’s probably more like "TV cooking show survivor".

But hold on, things are about to get even more bizarre. Astrid’s apparently turned herself into some kind of literary agony aunt, reviewing books and offering her take on the world from behind her bulletproof windows.

Breaking the silence? More like whispering behind a reinforced steel door! It’s like having a heavy metal concert conducted by a librarian.

Still, you’ve got to admire her resilience. She’s got a brother who’s more gangster than Guy Ritchie, a family history straight out of a Scorsese film, and she’s nestled comfortably in a bestseller list. Astrid, you’re a right one, you are.

And there you have it, folks – a little peek into the lives of the Holleeders, where family meals are a recipe for disaster, and the only thing more dangerous than their cooking is their past.

Astrid Holleeder, 58-year-old sister of notorious criminal Willem Holleeder, has achieved the extraordinary feat of claiming the top spot on the Bestseller 60 list with her book, “Who Talks, Who Goes.” Her daughter, Miljuschka Witzenhausen, a renowned TV chef, follows closely behind at number two with her cookbook, “I Saw That You Were Looking At My Cheesecake.” This remarkable double achievement has been dubbed “a unique accomplishment” by the CPNB Foundation, the organization behind the prestigious list.

Astrid Holleeder’s gripping memoir delves into the stark realities of living under constant threat since her crucial testimony against her brother. “Who Talks, Who Goes” provides a chilling glimpse into Astrid and her family’s daily existence overshadowed by fear and the heavy security measures necessary to protect them. She revealed the extent of the danger she faces in an interview with RTL Boulevard, stating that Miljuschka also “lives with heavy security because she is seriously threatened.”

In stark contrast to the weighty subject matter of her mother’s book, Miljuschka Witzenhausen’s “I Saw You Looking At My Cheesecake” offers a delectable escape into the world of sweet and savory culinary delights. The cookbook features eighty tempting recipes for cheesecake creations, guaranteed to tantalize any food lover.

The Bestseller 60 list also includes two noteworthy music books from Dutch authors. “Scandalously Beautiful Opera by an Opera Singer” penned by Francis van Broekhuijsen, a 30-year-old opera singer, and “André van Duin – La Bohème,” authored by 43-year-old Robert Haagsma, offer insights into the world of opera and entertainment.
Former Book Week gift author, Lize Spit, makes an entry at number 55 with her introspective work “Autobiography of My Body.”

Recently, Astrid Holleeder shared her future plans with RTL Boulevard’s “From BLVD” podcast. She intends to focus her energy on reviewing books and increasing her presence on social media. Astrid explained her desire to break the silence surrounding her experiences, stating, ” I want to end the story for once. I want to show the nice things.” She sees book reviewing as a form of “distraction and contact,” providing her with much-needed solace and connection amidst the ongoing threats she faces.
