PT Central Charcoal Babelindo (CCB), an MSME assisted by Pangkalpinang Customs, has again expanded its international market reach by sending 5,000 packs of dried leaf products to England.
This export was carried out on Wednesday (6/11) and adds to the list of export destination countries for the company based in Pangkalpinang.
Head of the Internal Compliance and Customs Extension Section, Pangkalpinang, Syarifudin, revealed that PT CCB has been actively exporting from September 2022 to November 2024, with a total of 11 shipments to countries such as Japan, the United States, Germany, Turkey and Singapore.
“For this export achievement, Pangkalpinang Customs and Excise awarded PT CCB as the Most Innovative MSME at the Customs Award event in March 2024,” he said.
Director of PT CCB Lukman Nuhung said that his party plans to send similar products to the United States next December.
Dried leaf products exported by PT CCB include ketapang leaves, dadap leaves and mangosteen leaves.
Lukman explained that ketapang leaves are useful as a natural regulator of the pH of the water in the aquarium, while dadap leaves and mangosteen leaves are believed to have health benefits, both as ingredients for treatment and disease prevention.
“We are currently preparing the product and packaging for next export. “Our long-term goal is to become the main dry leaf supplier for the world’s 10 largest companies,” said Lukman.
Furthermore, Syarifudin said that PT CCB’s success in penetrating the international market cannot be separated from the support of various parties, such as the Fish and Plant Animal Quarantine Center, the Bangka Belitung Islands Province Cooperative and SME Service, the Pangkalpinang Post Office, and other institutions that play a role in this export process. .
“We hope that this success can encourage other MSME players to enter foreign markets.
