Did Ajay Devgn stop an air crash or did something serious happen? The exciting trailer of his directorial film Runway 34 is out and it shows him paying a pilot who has some secrets up his sleeve.

The film stars Rakul Preet as his co-pilot who seems to have an equal part in the accident, and we can only assume that she too is hiding a lot.

Runway 34 is an investigation into an incident caused by a pilot (played by Ajay Devgan) who is not known for following the rules. Although the trailer doesn’t make it clear what the incident was, it seems the pilot landed his plane during bad weather despite clear instructions.

Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of an investigating officer trying to find the real truth behind the tragedy. Actors Boman Irani, Adhiradhar and Akanksha Singh will also be seen along with him. What really happened 35,000 feet above the ground makes the film compelling. The film is said to be based on true events.

According to the film’s synopsis, ‘Runway 34, inspired by true events, revolves around Captain Vikrant Khanna, played by Ajay Devgan, whose flight takes a mysterious path after take-off from an international airport. ‘

While talking about the film during the trailer launch event on Monday, Ajay Devgn talked about choosing the script almost two years ago. He said that I had read the script from Sandeep Kavalani and Aamil Kyan Khan about two years ago. At that time I realized that some changes were needed in what I suggested to them. Although we were supposed to meet later for this project, it was completely out of our minds. Then during the lockdown, they gave me the script again to check and that was it. It is based on a true event, of course some things have been dramatized.

‘When I want to make a film I make sure it doesn’t take the easy way out. Working on the visuals of the film has been a challenge.’

When asked about working with Amitabh Bachchan again, she said, ‘I have known Amitabh since I was a child on the sets. They have always loved me. We have worked in 7-8 films. Although it may sound conventional, I have never seen a talented, professional actor at his age working with such dedication and energy. I am always learning and motivated to do better. He is a legend.’

Runway 34 marks Ajay Devgn’s directorial comeback after 2016’s Shivaay. In a statement, he said: ‘Close your eyes and think – each of us has been in a situation in our lives when we felt all powerful one moment and completely helpless the next. is We’ve all been through that moment when we’ve felt like we could conquer the world and yet the next situation throws us out of gear.

Amitabh Bachchan, who could not attend the film’s trailer launch today due to Covid-19 precautions, also sent a special video message to fans. Big B started by apologizing for his absence and then went on to praise the artistes associated with the film.

‘Runway 34’ was previously titled ‘May Day’. It will hit the big screen on April 29 this year and will clash with Tiger Shroff and Tara Sataria starrer ‘Heropanti 2’ at the box office.
