Erdogan announces the severing of relations with Israel

Erdogan stated: “We, as a state and government in the Republic of Turkey, decided to sever relations with Israel, and now we do not have any relations with it.”

Since the beginning of the Israeli army’s operation in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Turkey has condemned Tel Aviv’s actions and actions and accused it of committing massacres against Palestinian civilians. It has also repeatedly called for a ceasefire and exerted great pressure on Tel Aviv.

In early May, the Turkish Ministry of Trade announced the complete severing of its trade relations with Israel. Before that, Ankara restricted the export of 54 subgroups of goods, but that did not deter Israel, and the Israeli army continued its aggression against Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also been subjected to personal criticism more than once, as his speech in the US Congress in July of this year not only caused anti-war protests in the Capitol building, but also led to a bold and violent response from Turkish politicians, including… This is Erdogan, who described the Israeli Prime Minister as “a butcher, with his hands stained with the blood of 150,000 Gazans,” and Turkish President Netanyahu as “the modern Fuhrer.” Stressing that the West turns a blind eye to its crimes.
