After the insolvency of KaBB Gastro GmbH at the end of October, another former company owned by the Linz entrepreneur Philipp Kaufmann is now insolvent. Yellow Zebra Fitness GmbH on Lunzerstrasse has applied for bankruptcy proceedings at the Linz regional court, as reported by the creditor protection association KSV1870. The proceedings have already been opened.
The company operates six MANDU fitness studios – three in Linz (Darrgutstrasse, Altstadt, Blumenstrasse) and one each in Pasching, Krems and Salzburg. Christian Meixner and Managing Director Manuel Wellmann have been shareholders since mid-October. Before that, Kaufmann was the boss and his KaBB GmbH was a partner. The now insolvent company was previously called KaBB Fitness GmbH.
According to KSV1870, eight employees are affected by the bankruptcy; ten creditors are listed in the insolvency application, but there are likely to be more. The amount of assets and liabilities is still unclear.
The gyms offered “highly efficient EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) total body training.” According to KSV1870, Kaufmann Meixner assured that the company could be managed successfully. “In fact, it turned out that due to the low sales in the last few months, not even wage costs could be covered.” According to the bankruptcy filing, the fitness training offered was difficult to sell.
Due to the lack of a positive continued existence forecast (all six fitness studios are therefore unprofitable), further operations are not intended. “According to the information in the insolvency application, it is to be expected that the company will soon be closed and completely liquidated by the liquidator,” says Alexander Meinschad from KSV1870.
The Linz lawyer Stephan Binder was appointed as administrator. The first creditors’ meeting and audit meeting will take place on January 28, 2025.
