“Let’s burn everything”. Displaying this banner and shouting this slogan, some young people from the “Bruciamo tutto” collective defaced the facade of the Ministry of Education and Merit in Trastevere in Rome. The vandal activists launched balloons full of tempera colors and then sat on the ground with the protest writing showing. The police intervened immediately and took the demonstrators away. The “Bruciamo Tutto” collective defines itself as “a transfeminist liberation movement. It was officially born in March 2024 from the need to put an end to a patriarchal system, which oppresses, harasses, rapes and kills people socialized as women and queer identities” and is known for its protests with defacements of monuments, as happened last June the Spanish Steps.

Lega MP Rossano Sasso, group leader in the Science, Culture and Education commission, condemned the incident: “Some columns and some external walls of the ministry were daubed with yellow, orange, red and purple paint. “The fruits of the poison put into circulation by the bad masters of the left continue.
