Experts react to the death of Jan Furtok. “Rest in peace”
GKS Katowice announced on Tuesday that Jan Furtok died at the age of 62. “He was the brightest star of GKS, the best scorer in the club’s history and a multiple representative of Poland” – you can read on the official website website. During his football career, he played 36 matches for the Polish national team, in which he scored 10 goals. Shortly after the announcement of the fatal news, football experts briefly summarized the player’s achievements. The Polish Football Association also reacted immediately.
“The Polish Football Association received with deep sadness and regret the information that Jan Furtok, former national representative and participant of the World Cup final tournament, died at the age of 62. The PZPN expresses its deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Jan Furtok,” reads the official statement.
